5.0 out of 5 stars Interesting new sci-fi

The Guardians was a departure from my normal science fiction diet, as I typically only read military sci-fi. What drew me to it, was both the fascinating weaving of UFOs and ancient astronaut theories into its story-line and the author’s knowledge of astronomy and space research. Far too many science fiction authors don’t have the faintest understanding of space and how it works, but Bobby Bixler has done his homework. The book does suffer a bit at times from the issue of “show don’t tell”, but this in no way detracts from its overall enjoyability. Hopefully, this book will spawn a series as I am interested in reading more tales of the Guardians.

It’s a sci-fi novel, but the book is about a family, just regular siblings. They argue and disagree, but at the end of the day, they have each other’s back. Loved it.

I’ve always been an “UFO”ist so I really enjoyed this book. It was an interesting read. What captivated my attention was the way the author integrated the theories of alien influence on our planet.

I enjoyed this book so much. It reminded me how my siblings and I could fight, but also knowing the true purpose of family, we always will have each other’s backs.

Reviews:
This is a great weekend or vacation read. The book layout allows you to take a break and when you pick up the book again, it’s a fresh new adventure.
I enjoyed seeing the various characters and their seemingly random and disconnected storylines come together.
It’s an enjoyable read that really gets you thinking, “what would I do in this situation.” These characters are far braver than I am, hence their dynamic tale.
This is part one of what promises to be an epic tale. I highly recommend you grab a copy of this book and be on the lookout for the part 2 release. Can’t wait to see what happens next!

Sami,
I really enjoyed this! It was very detailed but not in a way that can get repetitive! It is well written, and the storyline is perfect! If I didn’t have to go to work, I wouldn’t have put it down. I’ll definitely be reading this one again!

Echoes of the Lost Years
The first book’s journey, Mystery of the Lost Years, continues as David fights to survive. Still hunted by this oppressive government that seeks his and his companion’s lives and would destroy families and entire communities to stay in power. This band of survivors must use every option available to prevent capture.
As their numbers grow, so do their risks of being discovered. Even within their ranks are those who would betray for the right price.
Two leaders emerge. One leads with compassion, and the other creates mistrust to gain power. His only goal is to be on top no matter what the cost. Josiah is willing to sacrifice his people, if necessary, to gain the power he craves. With some of his people killed and others captured, David is willing to risk his life to free them. To do so, he must depart the safety of the island and leave Josiah to spread lies and deception. What will David find if and when he returns?
Hidden City of Mystery
As the book begins, the reader meets three friends: James, Susan, and Jason. The trio has known each other since birth and grew up participating in the same activities and in the same school classes. They are so inseparable, classmates call them the three musketeers. At the time this story takes place, they are now in their late twenties.
A provocative mystery near their town challenges there lifelong friendship and changes their lives forever. This is a story of mystery, loss, love, and a governmental cover up. The three of them set things into motion that will affect them and their surrounding community for years to come as they explore a forbidden area. The events of this mystery will challenge their friendship. We will see how different people deal with the grief and guilt that is spawned from the loss caused by this ordeal.
A community is torn apart as atrocities claim the lives of families and friends. This community bands together to find answers that takes them beyond their borders. Unlikely leaders emerge from the chaos to unite the people.
The mysterious isolated area that has caused these calamities is not all it is thought to be. Within the walls of this fortress comes allies and friendships that bond both communities together to stop what is happening. The key to this mystery lies in a group of young people from both areas that risk their lives to bring everything into the open.
It is a government cover up that has its beginnings 40 years earlier. The first book in this series deals with the results of what was done to maintain the facilities at the expense of the communities around them and how the people of the areas began to learn piece by piece what the government was doing. This will show the courage of young people who are willing to fight to change things and the struggle they go through.
The “Project New Beginning” will not be realized until the second book, “The Underground Conspiracy” and finally by the end of the series “Project New Beginning”. Each book reveals a portion of the story and unraveling the mystery. The last book will take you to the very beginning to fill in the gaps to give a clear understanding of everything that happened and why.
